Sequim equestrians finish season at state

Members of the Sequim Equestrian Team capped a strong season at the state finals in mid-June, enjoying competition among the top prep riders in Washington state in Moses Lake, June 17-20.

Sequim’s top individual finisher was Libby Swanberg, who just missed a top-10 finish after placing 11th in jumping. She and teammate Keri Tucker also placed 11th in cattle sorting.

Other top-20 finishes included Tucker placing 13th in working rancher, Swanberg (15th) and Tucker (18th) in steer daubing, and Rainey Bronsink (20th) in individual flags. Bronsink placed 33rd in barrels, and teamed with Tucker to take 24th in birangle.
