Milestone: Baha’i Community donates to Greywolf Elementary

The Baha’i Community of Clallam County East has once again made a donation to Greywolf Elementary School. The $550 donated funds will be used to purchase new shoes for students in need at the school, Baha’i representatives said.

“The promotion of education is an ideal of the Baha’i Faith and its members are dedicated to assisting young people everywhere in the pursuit of knowledge, believing that education can be a guide that bonds the individual more closely to the community in which they live,” the group said last week.

“This local donation reflects the spirit of the Baha’i festival of Ayyam-i-Ha, also known as Intercalary Days since it falls at the end of February like Leap Day. For Baha’is around the world, Ayyam-i-Ha extends four to five days with themes of hospitality, community service, charitable donations and gift giving.”
