Sequim Elks Lodge 2642 recently presented Sequim Boys & Girls Staff with a $2,500 Gratitude Grant donation through the Elks National Foundation.

The grant will support the Boys & Girls Club’s Teen Center program to help defray costs of the program.

The Teen Center has greatly increased in numbers, Elks members note, with 80 middle school and high school students in attendance. The program services these teens with an afternoon and early evening program.

The center provides a welcoming setting and provides students with resources to address their needs such as tutoring, counseling and other educational opportunities, representatives said.
