Sequim athletes earn medals at USTF tournament

A number of Sequim athletes from Next Level Taekwondo earned top-three finishes at a successful U.S. Taekwon-Do Federation’s tournament in Battle Ground on May 20.

Jobe Kirner earned grand champion in his bracket while Mia Kirner took first in sparring and second in both breaking and patterns.

Gunner Muckley took first in breaking and third in sparring, and Maverick Muckley placed second in sparring and third in patterns and breaking. Atticus Reed was first in sparring, while Wyatt Estep took first in breaking.

The USTF national tournament is set for June 24-25 in Broomfield, Colo., where Jobe and Mia Kirner, Gunner and Maverick and Larry Muckley plan to compete.
