Celebrating the diversity of the creativity of its members, Olympic Peaks Camera Club offers their newest exhibit — “A Photographic Journey II” — at Sequim Museum & Arts, 544 N. Sequim Ave.

The exhibit runs 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, from June 28 through July 29.

An opening reception for the exhibition is set for 5-8 p.m. on Friday, July 7, during the First Friday Art Walk event.

Many of the members’ photographs were captured here on the Olympic Peninsula, along with others in the wider world where they travel.

“The broad sweep of photographs reflects our varied interests, creative visions and experiences,” the club said in a press release.

Participating members include Suzanne Anaya, Lewis Bennett, Marian Bodart, Sherrie Cerutti, Bruce Fryxell, Rebecca Hanson, Judy Larimore, Dana Martell, Daniel McKenna, Witta Priester, Stephen Shoff, Mary Swartz, Kevin Talbot and Susan White.

The club this year commemorates more than 40 years. “Our club encourages friendship, quality photography, and personal growth through interest in and enhancement of photographic skills,” members said.

The club’s mission is “to connect, educate, and support photographers from beginner to professional all across the North Olympic Peninsula,” including Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Townsend and surrounding areas.

The club hosts several activities each month for members to learn and practice photographic skills, including “share nights” and friendly competitions. The club hosts both online and in-person meetings/trainings from world-class experts, and also offers a wide variety of field trips and in-person workshops, members said.

In addition, the club runs and hosts the photography exhibit at the annual Clallam County Fair.
