Local libraries to host book talks in August

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) hosts four Book Discussion Group meetings each month.
The Wednesday Evening group will meet in person in Port Angeles, and the Second Saturday group will meet in person in Sequim. Other groups meet on Zoom.
Registration is not required. Learn more and access Zoom links at nols.org/book-groups, or call or visit the library for assistance.
Paperback copies of the titles will be available for pick up any time after the current month’s discussions at the Port Angeles Library, 2201 S. Peabody St., or the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., on a first-come, first-served basis.
Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD, and eBook may also be available to request through the NOLS catalog.
The remaining August 2023 book discussion schedule includes:
• 2nd Saturday Book Discussion Group — “The Address Book” by Deirdre Mask, 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Sequim Library; paperback copies available at the Sequim Library
• Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group — “Interior Chinatown” by Charles Yu, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, on Zoom; paperback copies available at the Sequim Library
• Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group — “Everything I Never Told You” by Celeste Ng, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, in the Carver Room at the Port Angeles Library; paperback copies available at the Port Angeles Library
