North Olympic Peninsula residents are invited to help fundraise to end Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s — the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

The walk is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at the James Center for Performing Arts bandshell at Carrie Blake Community Park, 202 N. Blake Ave.

On walk day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the Promise Garden ceremony. During the ceremony, walkers will carry flowers of various colors, each color representing their personal connection to the disease.
