‘Barn Sisters’ set exhibit in Hadlock
The Barn Sisters — Mary Franchini, Lynne Armstrong and Susan Gansert Shaw — host a reception from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, for an art installation at the Old Alcohol Plant, 310 Hadlock Bay Road, Port Hadlock.
The installation will be on display Oct. 1-Nov. 29.
A percentage of all artwork sales will go toward housing those in need, organizers note.

Artist reception set at Sequim area gallery
The Olympic Peninsula Art Association’s Gallery 223 on Hudon will host a fall quarter artist reception from noon-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, off of Stone and Kendall roads (follow signs).
The event, free and open to the public, will showcase works by OPAA artists and will include paintings, reproductions, wood turning, decorative candles, cards and other gift items.
The gallery’s show will run through Dec. 30, and is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.

Juno, Grammy award winners coming to PA
Ruth Moody, an Australian-born, two-time Juno Award winning singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, brings her band to the Field Arts & Events Hall (201 W. Front St., Port Angeles) for a concert, on Friday, Oct. 6.
Founding and current member of the Billboard-charting trio The Wailin’ Jennys, Moody has performed in sold-out venues around the world, made numerous acclaimed albums and has appeared more than a dozen times on “A Prairie Home Companion.” Her style is described as a “poetically written folk, gospel and bluegrass highlighted by Ruth’s ethereal vocals and heavy string support.
Sammy Miller & The Congregation are playing at the same venue at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7. Led by Grammy-nominated drummer Sammy Miller, this seven-piece band will offer two shows: the first, a tribute to the music of 1973, and the second a showcase of their original jazzy dance music.
