Sequim’s Garrett Little is once again heading back to the 2A state tennis tourney after placing second at the bi-district tennis tournament in Bremerton last week.

Little, the defending West Central District 3 champ, went 3-1 at this year’s tourney and moves on to play for another high placing at the state tourney slated for Seattle in May, to coincide with the culmination of the girl’s prep finals.

Little, who placed second at state as a sophomore and third at last year’s state finals, beat Amos Hall of Enumclaw 6-0, 6-0 and Jordan Wang of Sammamish 6-2, 6-3, to open district play.

In the semifinals, he had a tough battle, beating Jack Wang of Sammamish 7-5, 6-7, 6-3.

In the finals, Little lost to Rafael Polito, also of Sammamish, in two sets: 6-2, 6-2.
