The Lodge at Sherwood Village and Dream Catchers crews look to take locals for a birds-eye view of Sequim this September.

The Lodge hosts hot air balloon rides at a special event starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the field north of Sequim Community Church at 1000 N. Fifth Ave.

The Dream Catcher Balloon is a unique hot air balloon designed to provide rides for all, including mobility- challenged individuals, seniors, veterans and others.

The two-seated balloon allows easy access without the need to climb over a basket.

“The Dream Catcher Balloon is … designed to give rides to everyone no matter who you are,” said Captain Crystal, pilot and Dream Catchers Balloon owner.

“We operate as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization through individual and corporate donations to keep the dream alive.”

Rides are $25, with checks payable to “Dream Catchers Balloon.”

RSVP by calling 360-681-3100. (Note: balloon rides are affected by weather conditions.)

Attendees are asked to park in the church parking lot.
