After a two-year hiatus, the Nature Wellness Challenge returns this month to the Dungeness River Nature Center.

The Nature Wellness Challenge has returned to the Dungeness River Nature Center this month after a two-year hiatus. Just in time for New Year’s resolutions, this four-week series is designed to inspire movement, creativity and connection with the natural world, even during the coldest months of the year.

Each class takes place on Saturdays throughout January at the River Center, located at 1943 W. Hendrickson Rd. The cost per class is $10-$15.

The class schedule is as follows:

Jan. 10, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Mindfulness and Nature Journaling.

Jan. 17, 10 a.m. to noon: Qigong for Self-Healing.

Jan. 24, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Pacific Northwest Herbal Infusions Workshop.

Jan. 31, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Tai Chi for Centering.

Each session offers a simple, nature-based practice that supports well-being and encourages participants to get outside when it matters most. Guest presenters are John Acklen, Drea Moore and Debra Gilbreath, along with regular Tai Chi instructor Connie Barron.

Participants who attend any two classes in the series will receive a special Nature Wellness Warrior sticker.
