From the artists

Here is what the artists have had to say about the studio tour experience:

“It was very gratifying to be a part of this group of artists who are so committed to their work. The visitors that we saw were excited and interested in exploring the many different styles and creativity that were on display. I’m looking forward to this year’s tour and to sharing with the public my newest work created over the past year.” – David Willis

“I’m excited about the Strait from the Artists Studio Tour because it gives me a chance to do some quick studies, lighten up a bit and have fun with some smaller paintings. My pastel studio will be open during the tour, giving visitors a chance to see what goes into creating a pastel painting. Most of the pieces in this event will be offered at less than $100, making them ideal for gifting, or for those who are just starting to get their feet wet in collecting fine art.” – Anne Milligan

“It was wonderful explaining how I create my sculptures.” – Pat Reichner

“Participating in Strait from the Artist studio tour has been a richly rewarding experience. I have met such delightful people. They enjoy seeing each artist’s unique creative process. I am excited to be a part of the tour again this year. What a great community event!” – Deborah Harrison

“We look forward to opening our gallery up for the Strait from the Artist Tour each year. We get a lot of new faces every year, and we seem to have something for everyone that visits. Making new friends, and sharing our art is what it is all about!” – Keith Ross

“As a new Sequim resident, this is my first Strait from the Artists Studio tour. I look forward to opening my home gallery and working studio to the public. I’m a veteran at having open studios in other places that I have lived, so I’m excited to meet art enthusiasts from this area to talk about my space and work.” – Michelle Lindblom

“We had an exciting weekend at Len Zeoli Studios last November. Not knowing what to expect for our first year, we were prepared to sit quietly and wait while enjoying our clean studio spaces. We were more than pleasantly surprised to have well over 50 visitors. Great conversations about art in general, art in this area, and of course our own creations. We had sales plus contacts and potentials for later. We are very much looking forward to this year’s studio tour.” – Len Zeoli

“Every year many of the same visitors come to my studio. They have become more like friends than customers. Visitors to the Studio Tour are very interested in seeing my studio, especially my kiln where all of the magic really takes place.” – Lizbeth Harper

“I am really looking forward to sharing what I do in the studio! I have been working hard to bring a wide variety of offerings: Originals, prints, cards and even some handmade books. Those are quite fun! I also plan on live painting during the tour.” – Lauren Blair Churchill
