Taize service set

All are welcome to the ecumenical Taize service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, at 7 p.m. Monday, June 22. In a meditative candlelit atmosphere which includes singing simple repetitive songs, one may simply sit peacefully during the hour long service or join in the chorus while experiencing the calming effect of being in God’s presence. Taize will continue to be held the fourth Monday of each month.

Of fathers and dads

Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, Agnew, announces the Rev. Julia McKenna Johnson will be the speaker at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 21. She will take a look into how choices are made by those entrusted with the responsibilities of fathering and what’s the difference between being a father and being a dad.
