Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim, has announced the cast for its upcoming production of the George S. Kaufman/Moss Hart comedy classic “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” directed by Olivia Shea.
“The Man Who Came to Dinner” opens Oct. 30 and runs through Nov. 15 with performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
The play tells of the tribulations a small town family is forced to endure when a dinner guest — the world renowned (and overbearing) radio personality Sheridan Whiteside (played by Ron Graham) — falls on their icy front stair and becomes their unwilling holiday houseguest.
Sara Nicholls plays Maggie Cutler, Whiteside’s able personal assistant who manages the controlled chaos that is Whiteside’s lifestyle. Mindy Gelder, Jayna Orchard, Raven Gelder, Merv and Judi Wingard, Maria Roragen, Monica Ostrom, Mark Valentine, Steve Schultz, Tracy Williams, Rich Hendricksen, Angela Poynter-Lemaster, Pat Owens and Joe Schulz round out this cast of social climbers, zanies, wannabes, and quirky characters guaranteed to complicate the situation into side-splitting laughter for all.
The $10 preview (free for OTA members) is Wednesday, Oct. 28, and the Pay What You Will performance is Wednesday, Nov. 4. For more information or to buy tickets, contact the OTA box office from 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at 683-7326. Tickets also may be purchased online at www.olympictheatrearts.org.
