PC student works get the spotlight

Peninsula College multimedia communications instructor Marina Shipova presents the self-published works of several PC students at the Thursday, Feb. 4, Studium Generale lecture in the College’s Little Theater, beginning at 12:35 p.m.

Peninsula College multimedia communications instructor Marina Shipova presents the self-published works of several PC students at the Thursday, Feb. 4, Studium Generale lecture in the College’s Little Theater, beginning at 12:35 p.m.

Shipova’s presentation features students sharing their literary experiences and reading passages from their books published in her Digital Publishing class. Works from Makayla DeScala, Martha Ireland, Sarah Lindquist, Carrie Overton, Melissa Penic and David Pierik, with topics including biographical, western, fantasy and more, are featured. Authors Eycke Strickland and Jim Yerkes read from their original work.

Co-sponsored by the Foothills Writers Series, the event is free and open to the public.
