A Sequim man was arrested Saturday on drug charges and deputies seized an estimated $2,000 worth of marijuana.

Another man also was arrested for outstanding warrants and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Michael Slezak, 24, Sequim, was arrested and booked into the Clallam County jail on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of more than 40 grams of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of an hallucinogen.

All the offenses are Class B felonies, which carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Slezak was arrested Saturday afternoon by a Clallam County Sheriff’s deputy in front of his residence in the 300 block of West Pine Street, according to a news release from the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.

Then officers searched Slezak’s vehicle and found an estimated 36 grams of marijuana.

While searching Slezak’s residence, officers arrested Andrew Surgeon for outstanding warrants and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the release stated.

The men lead officers to a second residence where they discovered several bags of prepackaged marijuana totaling approximately 140 grams, 16 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms and other items used in drug sales.
