At 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., presents the first in a new series of programs called “Food for Thought.”
Pamela Ziemann, certified chef and international speaker, opens the series with a presentation titled, “The Health Benefits of Plant-Based Foods.”
There are many health benefits of a whole, plant-based diet. Discover how adding more fruits and vegetables increase energy, help attain an ideal weight and give skin a glow. Watch one’s body and mind transform by reducing or giving up acid-forming, fiberless meat and dairy products. Ziemann gives tips on making a new way of eating simple, satisfying and delicious.
Ziemann is known for her humor, wealth of information and ease of relating to audience members. Growing up on a Minnesota grain and dairy farm, she was exposed to the industrial side of food production, watching chemicals and hormones become commonplace. Now she is dedicated to getting natural, plant-based food back on plates for health, environmental and compassionate reasons.
This event is free, and pre-registration is not required.
