Little League tryouts set

Sequim Little League registration and try-outs are scheduled for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Sequim Little League fields, 136 W. Silberhorn Road.

The league features a new division for girls ages 13-16, called the "Seniors" division.

The league has extended its registration boundaries. Youths from Sequim to as far west as Airport Road in Port Angeles are eligible to play Sequim Little League baseball or softball.

League officials are seeking umpires, managers, coaches and other volunteers.

Opening day for

Sequim Little League is April 10.

Volunteers are building a new girls ball field.
