Mat Rats starts next week

Tuesday and Thursday afternoons this March are pinned down for Sequim’s up-and-coming wrestlers.
Sequim Mat Rats, a training program preparing wrestlers of tomorrow for middle school and high school competitive wrestling, kicks off 5:15-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 6, and ends March 27 in the Sequim Community School gym, 221 W. Fir St.
Mat Rats is open to all boys and girls grades 1-6 who will learn different wrestling techniques and safety along with a chance to practice.
Cost is $35 for one child or $50 for two or more, which includes one T-shirt. Additional shirts cost $10. Make checks to “Sequim High School Wrestling” with registration form, fee and a concussion information sheet required at first session.
Participants must bring shorts or sweatpants, T-shirt, a good attitude and wrestling shoes (optional).
