North Olympic Land Trust, Clallam County’s only local land conservation nonprofit, hosts its third Conservation Breakfast event from 8-9 a.m. Friday, April 27, at the Port Angeles Red Lion, 221 N. Lincoln St.
This year’s event has two purposes: to introduce new Land Trust executive director Tom Sanford and to celebrate Guest of Honor John Willits, a longtime NOLT board of directors member.
Tickets for the event are free and include breakfast.
For tickets, RSVP by e-mailing Matthew@NOLT.org by Tuesday, April 24.
A member of the Peninsula College faculty from 1968-1995, Willits started Peninsula College’s Forestry Tech program in 1968 and its Surveying Tech program in 1985. He has been a NOLT board member since 1994. He has served as the chairman of the Land Trust’s conservation committee for all but a few months over the last 18 years.
Sanford served as the executive director of the Olympic Park Institute from 2005 to 2011.
