Milestone: Hardesty earns Rotary honor

Shawn Hardesty, a junior at Sequim High School, was recognized as the Sequim Sunrise Rotary’s January Vocational student of the month.

Hardesty was born in Port Angeles. His parents, John and Lilli Hardesty, were present at the award presentation. Hardesty was nominated by his high school auto tech teacher Kevin Phillips who shared with the Rotarians that Hardesty is an excellent student and has a certain passion for auto repair and welding.

Hardesty’s hobbies include riding quads and listening to music as well as being with his friends. He plans to attend Peninsula College and enroll in the automotive skills class.
