Peninsula Trail Coalition is soliciting proposals for a branding and logo enhancement and Web site development project.

This five-month project is to create a cohesive identity for the Olympic Discovery Trail. The logo seen on trail markers will be enhanced and used as a brand to represent the trail as a destination travel location.

Peninsula Trail Coalition is in charge of expansion, maintenance and promotion of the Olympic Discovery Trail, which eventually will span from Port Townsend on Hood Canal to La Push on the Pacific Ocean.

This new project will help promote the trail and the Olympic Peninsula as a tourism destination. It also will provide information for locals interested in helping with donations, trail construction or in personal trail use.

The envisioned Web site will have information about the area, such as local lodging and restaurants, tied to the different segments of the trail. There will be itineraries, video, maps and other facts along with many photographs. Web site visitors will be able print high-quality maps and create itineraries.
