SARC sets fees for 2010

The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center recently set its pass and general admission rates for the upcoming year.

The current adult annual pass price is $342.27 plus tax, or a little more than $30 a month; seniors pay $317.82 plus tax, a little less than $29 a month.

SARC board members also created a new single parent family pass. The parent receives 10 percent off the price of an adult pass while each child receives 50 percent off his/her pass price. The parent and child (or children) must reside in the same home.

All annual pass prices are based on 11 months, with a 12-month expiration date. All annual- and six-month pass purchases include discounts on classes.

The one month or 30-day adult pass price will be $45 plus tax.

The daily admission rates for 2010 will be increasing to $10 for ages 16 and up, $5 for children ages 8-15 and $2.25 for those younger than 8. Pass users now are able to leave the facility and return to use it on the same day.

SARC officials also deleted additional charges for racquetball court and racquetball equipment rental fees.

New classes

Beginning in January, SARC is adding Wednesday evening belly dancing, Saturday morning Zumba, and a Monday and Wednesday evening cardio class. The center also is adding a Tuesday and Thursday piloga class, which is a combination of Pilates and yoga.
