From the X-Box to the Symphony

Long-time symphony supporters and families filled the Sequim Boys & Girls Club for a unique night of video game music on Sept. 27.

Stan LePard, composer for several games like the Halo series led the Port Angeles Symphony for one suite of “Age of Empires III: Asian Dynasties” while Adam Stern led the rest of the evening for games like Plants Vs. Zombies and Crimson Skies.

Composers Kevin McMullan and Stephen Rippy of Age of Empires III also were in attendance and said this was the first time their music was played live.

The symphony next hosts a concert and cuisine on Oct. 5, its first chamber orchestra concert Oct. 11-12, and its first symphony concert Nov. 2. For more information, visit portangelessymphony.org or call 457-5579.
