Local crime information online

Local citizens now can find out what crimes are being committed in their neighborhood, city and county through a free interactive website at www.CrimeReports.com.
The site offers daily, weekly or monthly crime alerts and a special crime map to find out what crimes have been reported and where they’re happening 24 hours every day. They also can report information anonymously to local law enforcement agencies who are participating in the electronic crime prevention partnership.
The Port Angeles and Sequim Police departments and the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office are participating in the program, which includes law enforcement agencies in the United States and Canada.
Currently working with more than 1,500 participating law enforcement agencies, CrimeReports is the largest public crime-mapping and citizen tip network serving those who live in North America.
County residents can access the service at www.cityofpa.us/policeCrimeMap.htm or www.clallam.net/Sheriff/CrimeReports_dotCom.html.
The Sequim Police Department will be adding a link to Crime Reports on its website in the near future.
