Animals to be blessed

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple St., Sequim, will have a Blessing of the Animals at 9:30 a.m. on the feast day of St. Francis, Friday, Oct. 4, following the 8:30 a.m. 

Mass in the courtyard between the church and office. Animals of all sizes and species are welcome to attend with their human companions.

For the safety of all, animals need to be leashed, crated or otherwise under the full control of their owners at all times.
