Milestone: Thomas earns DC degree

Erin Urquia Thomas of Sequim received her Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree at the Fall Quarter commencement of Palmer College of Chiropractic’s San Jose, Calif., campus on Friday, Dec. 5, in the theater of the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Thomas graduated from Sequim High School in 1997 and earned her B.A. (creative writing) from Western Washington University in 2006.

While attending Palmer’s San Jose campus, Thomas was active in various student activities, including the SOT (technique) Club, served as assistant director in the “open lab” (helping fellow students enhance their adjusting skills), and earned her certification in the Activator Technique.

Thomas received one of the four “Clinical Excellence” awards presented by the Dec. 5 commencement. She plans to practice in Port Angeles or Sequim.
