Garrett Little of Sequim is headed to Vancouver, on March 12 for a regional competition after winning his division at the Washington state Elks Hoop Shoot event on Feb. 20 in Olympia.

Little won the Sequim district hoop shoot with a 20-of-25 effort in January. At the state competition, Little sank 17 of 25 shots but so did another competitor. The pair both hit all five shots in the first overtime tiebreaker, then four of five in the second overtime. In the third tiebreaker, Little hit all five while his competitor sank four.

“The Sequim Elks are proud to have Garrett represent Sequim and wish him well,” Kim Bower said.
