Four students from each elementary school, Greywolf and Helen Haller, placed for first, second, third and won Best Picture on April 8 at the annual drawing and essay contest spearheaded by the Sequim Association of Realtors and its affiliates.

The contest’s theme of “What My Home Means to Me” allows students the opportunity to reflect on their personal sense of place and home through an essay and drawing about their home.

From touching to funny, the students gave insights into what a home means to them and in doing so received a variety of awards, including bicycles for first place, scooters for second and $25 gift cards for third and Best Picture.
