Milestone: P.C.’s Peet honored

Peninsula College Accounting faculty member Gail Peet recently was selected as a recipient of the 2015 Anna Sue McNeill Assessment, Teaching and Learning Award.

The honor is given to individuals “in recognition of outstanding contributions to teaching, student learning and assessment and commitment to supporting and providing educational opportunities for all students,” according to a Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.

Peet was nominated by Brinton Sprague, interim vice president of instruction at Peninsula College, who cited her “significant contributions to Peninsula College’s Education program at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.” Peet worked with IT and mathematics staff to offer the Washington Mathematics Assessment and Placement within the prison to improve the teaching of mathematics.
