June 26 will be the second Fourth Friday Readings held in its new Sequim location, hosted by Writers on the Spit.

The location — with more room, better acoustics and ample parking — is the Media Room at The Lodge, 660 Evergreen Farm Way (off Fifth Avenue). The event begins promptly at 6:30 p.m., but plan to arrive by 6 p.m. in order to purchase your coffee or tea at the Bistro when you enter The Lodge.

The guest speaker will be Anna Quinn, owner of The Writers’ Workshoppe in Port Townsend. She is both a writer and an instructor, believing everyone should tell their stories because everyone’s story matters.

Her own work has appeared in literary journals and texts including Literature Circles and Response, Practical Aspects of Authentic Assessment, Instructor and IS Zine. Her first novel is represented by Fuse Literary; samples of her writing are available at annamquinn.com.

For Writers’ Workshoppe class information, go to www.writersworkshoppe.com.

An hour of open mic readings follows Quinn’s presentation. Interested writers may submit their names before the event begins, to be drawn for five-minute time slots.
