A steep and muddy road off of Township Line Road in the Deer Park area proved to be too much for a pick-up truck hauling a heavy construction load.
A commercial wrecker was assisting the pick-up truck and trailer up the muddy road when it caught on fire at 12:15 p.m Monday, Sept. 30.
The truck was fully engulfed in flames when the first Fire District 3 units arrived on scene.
While the pick-up truck was a total loss, quick control of the fire protected the trailer and the building materials on it.
The truck was owned and operated by an out of county construction company.
No one was injured in the fire which was completely extinguished in less than 30 minutes.
Two engines and five firefighters responded to the call.
