JFFA offers youth camp
The Juan de Fuca Foundation offering a week-long youth creative arts day camp from July 7-21 at Jefferson Elementary School in Port Angeles. The camp, open to youngsters ages 7-12, offers curriculum integrating drama, creative movement and visual arts around a theme. Parents dropping off the youths for 3.5 hours in the morning five days in a row will enjoy a much-needed break while school is out, organizers say. They added that the instructors and campers had so much fun with the “steam punk” theme last summer that they are bringing it back this year with all new activities. Campers rotate through each instructor’s course with a brass, leather, lace and gear common thread. Registration is still open, but space is limited. Sign up at jffa.org.
