Jean McDonald and Lindy MacLaine, winners of Skwim Toastmasters Club’s Evaluation and International Speech Contests on Feb. 20, have advanced to the next level of competition: the Area Contest, set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, in Chimacum.

The Feb. 20 contest included a total of five speeches and two evaluations.

Along with McDonald’s and MacLaine’s presentations, the contest featured speeches/evaluations by M.E. Bartholomew, Craig Barron, Jeff Tingelstad and Rich Proctor.

The community is invited to cheer local winners at the Area Contest, held March 2 at the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 W. Valley Road in Chimacum.
