Join veteran Master Gardeners Laurel Moulton, Lois Bellamy, Jeanette Stehr-Green and Audreen Williams for the “Second Saturday Garden Walk,” set for 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, at the Fifth Street Community Garden in Port Angeles.
Topics for the May walk include transplanting starts, setting up trellises, fertilizing and dealing with early spring pests such as cabbage butterfly, carrot rust fly and pea leaf weevil.
The monthly walks are free and open to the public. They continue every second Saturday of the month through Sept. 8.
The Fifth Street Community Garden is at 328 E. Fifth St. in Port Angeles, just off Peabody Street and across from City Hall.
Also, drop by the garden on Mondays from 10 a.m.-noon to see what is happening in the Master Gardeners’ plots at the Community Garden and for free gardening advice.
