Feiro Center seeks to honor local student

The Feiro Marine Life center would like to honor a Clallam County student who has made significant contributions to local marine ecosystems, with its second Feiro Marine Science Student of the Year Award.

The center will be accepting nominations through Jan. 20. To be considered for the award, a nomination must be sent from an organization, such as business, troop or school. The nomination should include a short description of how the student has engaged in promotion, education, research and/or stewardship of the marine environment, as well as the outcomes of their efforts. Nominations are reviewed by a committee. The chosen student will be honored at the Feiro Marine Life Center’s “Fish on the Fence” event in February.
