SkyRidge hosts Gut Buster, St. Paddy’s tournaments

SkyRidge Golf Course (7015 Old Olympic Highway) is the site for a pair of tourneys in March.

On March 14, SkyRidge hosts the course’s third-annual Saint Paddy’s Day tournament. This is a four-person scramble. The $160-per-team entry fee pays for lunch (a traditional Irish stew and dessert), range balls, four KP holes, a long putt contest on hole No. 18, a "perfect shot" contest on the first hole and, after the round of golf, a "big break" skills challenge. Additional honey pots are $40. The tourney also features a contest for the best-dressed Irish Duffer. The tourney starts at 9:30 a.m.

On March 21, SkyRidge is home to the Gut Buster tournament. The format is individual medal play. Men play both nine holes from the black tees (6,710 total yards) while women play from the silver tees (6,070 total yards). The $55-per-player entry fee includes lunch, range balls, four KP holes, honey pot and a long putt contest on hole No. 18. The tourney features men’s and women’s divisions for gross and net play. First tee times start at 9 a.m. barring frost delays. Carts are $15 per seat.
