KSQM FM 91.5 radio’s annual Pet Lovers Week kicks off Sunday, Sept. 15.
Running through Saturday, Sept. 21, KSQM will be all about critters, playing animal-related tunes, information and interviews, along with stories submitted by listeners and local animal welfare agencies. Listen in to 91.5 FM to join the on-air fun.
The week’s “grand finale” is Pet Lovers Day, set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the dog park at Carrie Blake Community Park off North Blake Avenue, to celebrate the park’s 12th “birthday.”
There, find entertainment, booths with pet-friendly businesses, animal rescue agencies, animal demonstrations, raffles, treats for dogs (and cupcakes for owners), and KSQM’s Donation Dogs with relish.
Clowns will be on hand from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to entertain families, and Paul Dailidenas and K9 Officer Mamba will give a demonstration.
In addition, there will be dog freestyle dancing and 4-H presentations, a Dream Catcher bouncy house and DJ Golden Mike will be spinning tunes in between events
