Screening set for ‘Challenges to the Big Bang’

The Peninsula Evangelical Friends Church’s monthly Movie and a Meal for March features “Challenges to the Big Bang,” a 2015 documentary from Awesome Science Media’s “The Heavens Declare” series.

Free and open to the community, the screening is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, in the Agnew Friends Hall, 1241 N. Barr Road.

The film explores how the laws of physics challenge basic assumptions of the Big Bang theory. It presents real science, understandably for teens and adults.

A supper of homemade soups with bread and rolls, and home-baked cookies will be served at 6 p.m. The 50-minute film will start as soon as people are served.

“Everyone is welcome to come and watch the movie while we eat together,” said Vicki Carlisle, Social Committee clerk. “We’ll be done by 8 p.m. for a family-friendly evening.”
