Swanson joins SMA staff
Sequim Medical Associates announced last week that Dr. Jennifer Swanson joins the staff on Feb. 17. Swanson has been a hospitalist at Olympic Medical Center for the past six years and is board-certified in internal medicine.
Swanson is accepting new patients and is credentialed with most major insurance companies. Appointments may be made by contacting Sequim Medical Associates at 582-2850 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Ben’s Bikes sets promotions
Ben’s Bikes, 1251 W. Washington St., Sequim, announced several personnel changes on Dec. 21. Kaylee Ditlefsen has been promoted to marketing manager, Thomas Cole to operation manager, and Wendell Wallace to service manager. These changes will be put into effect immediately.
Also, Ben’s Bikes is now a Ti-Trike dealer specializing in three-wheel recumbents for special needs customers. Models include an electric assist, a hard cycle unit and a regular upright seat model.

Nash’s sets talk on craft distilling
Don’t miss Victoria Redhed Miller as she presents her new book, “Craft Distilling: Making Liquor Legally at Home,” at Nash’s Farm Store, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way in Dungeness at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6. The talk is free and open to the public.
In “Craft Distilling,” Miller explains the facts around legal distilling, as well as detailed instructions on how to make high-quality distilled spirits on a small scale.
Co-op plans annual meeting
The Co-op Farm & Garden True Value invites all stock-holder members to the 81st Annual Meeting. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at The Co-op Farm & Garden store, 216 E. Washington St., Sequim.
The agenda includes the election of two board members and reports from the accounting firm Leffel, Otis and Warwick P.S., certified public accountants.
The Co-op management team will provide updates about the store.
Attendees will have a chance to win Co-op Farm & Garden Gift Cards worth up to $50. Refreshments will be served.
