‘United We Hike’ fundraiser starts June 20

United Way of Clallam County is hosting its second annual United We Hike event set for June 20-July 31. This fundraiser encourages community members to get moving, explore the outdoors and raise funds for United Way and partner agencies at the same time.

Registrants get a United We Hike T-shirt and access to an exclusive United We Hike Facebook group where participants post photos of their hikes each week and are entered to win weekly prizes.

This year’s event includes child entries and prizes as well as an offline component to include families who are not online.

All donations are tax-deductible.

“We aim to make a real lasting impact in Clallam County every day,” Jaycie Wakefield, development director for United Way of Clallam County, said.

“We do this by raising money year-round to help fund our non-profit partner organizations who are working hard and making a difference for the people who need them.”
