Take a walk with the Explorers

The Olympic Peninsula Explorers his the trail Saturday, March 8, for a 5k (3.1-mile) or a 10k (6.2-mile) walk along the Port Townsend waterfront. The walk includes a stretch of the Larry Scott Trail with views of Whidbey Island, Indian Island and two marinas. The walk is okay for both strollers and wheelchairs.

All walkers are required to sign up from 9:15-9:30 a.m.; the walk starts at 9:30 a.m. The sign up is at the Subway Restaurant, 1300 Water St., Port Townsend.

Those walkers coming from the Sequim area may carpool at 8:15 p.m. at the Sequim QFC, 990 E. Washington St. For carpooling information, call Janet Lenfant at 681-5405. For other information, call George Christensen 697-2172 or 473-8398.
