Schools go back in session

Teachers, administrators and other staff at Sequim schools welcomed back students for another year of classroom studies on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
Sequim superintendent Regan Nickels said at the Sept. 6 school board meeting that the academic year would start out with about 2,536 registered students; last year, Sequim schools started with about 2,506 students.
“Our kindergarten [numbers] are very strong,” Nickels said.
