Local libraries to host book discussions in March

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) hosts four Book Discussion Group meetings each month. The Second Saturday group meet in person in Sequim, the Wednesday Evening group, and other groups meet on Zoom.

Registration is not required. Learn more and access Zoom links at nols.org/book-groups, or call or visit the library for assistance. Reach the Sequim Library at 360-683-1161.

All are welcome to join every month or drop in. Paperback copies of the titles will be available for pick up any time after the current month’s discussions at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., or the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., on a first-come, first-served basis.

Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD, and eBook may also be available to request through the NOLS catalog.

The March 2023 Book Discussion schedule includes:

• 2nd Saturday Book Discussion Group — “The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion” by Fannie Flagg, 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the Sequim Library; paperback copies available at Sequim Library

• 2nd Tuesday Book Discussion Group — “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman, 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, on Zoom; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library

• Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group — “The Doctors Blackwell” by Janice P. Nimura, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, on Zoom; paperback copies available at Sequim Library

• Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group — “Men Explain Things to Me” by Rebecca Solnit, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, in the Carver Room at the Port Angeles Library; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library
