‘Rendezvous for the Arts’ scheduled

The Port Angeles Symphony hosts a Rendezvous for the Arts on Saturday, Aug. 3, at Lost Mountain Lodge, 303 Sunny View Lane, Sequim. Ensembles from the symphony play, hors d’oeuvres are served and more than 25 artists present their work, with a portion of all sales benefitting the symphony. Book now for Puffin Sunset Marine Cruise

The Dungeness River Center’s Puffin Sunset Marine Cruises — an annual Lavender Weekend sell-out event — are scheduled for 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20, during Sequim’s Lavender Weekend. The cruise includes a program on marine birds and mammals found between John Wayne Marina and the Protection Island National Wildlife Refuge. The $65 ticket price includes a salmon dinner, with wine available for purchase.

SARC summer art camps set

The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center, 610 N. Fifth Ave., hosts three art classes this summer.

A “Kids Basket Art Camp” is scheduled for Monday, July 15, with times for youths of ages 7-9 (9 a.m.-noon) and ages 10 and older (12:30-3:30 p.m.).

A “Kids Batik Art Camp” is set for Monday, July 29, with times for youths of ages 7-9 (9 a.m.-noon) and ages 10 and older (12:30-3:30 p.m.).

An “Adult Mixed Medium Class” is set for three Thursdays: July 11, 18 and 25. Class times are 10:30 a.m.-noon or 12:30-2 p.m.
