Check your mailbox for special election ballot

Registered voters who have not received their mailed ballot for the Feb. 11 special election by Friday, Jan. 31, should contact the county's Elections and Voter Registration office at 360-417-2221.

Ballots for the Feb. 11 special election were mailed last week to all active registered voters in the Sequim and Quillayute Valley school districts, according to the Elections and Voter Registration Division of the Clallam County auditor’s office.

Military and overseas voters’ ballots were mailed earlier, on Jan. 10.

The purpose of the special election is to approve and adopt or to reject local ballot propositions.

Official ballot drop boxes are open throughout Clallam County and ballot collection is

underway.

No stamp is needed for those who choose to mail their ballot, but voters returning their ballots with less than a week to go before Election Day are advised to place them in an official drop box.

Ballots must be deposited in an official drop box by 8 p.m. or postmarked by Election Day.

There are nine Official Ballot Drop Boxes throughout Clallam County. For a list of locations,go to VoteWA.gov.

Registered voters who do not receive a ballot packet by Jan. 31 should call or visit the

Elections and Voter Registration Office at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St, Room 42

for a replacement. Voters can also securely access a replacement ballot online by logging into VoteWA.gov.

Printed statewide Voters’ Pamphlets are included with ballots. A printable copy is
