Anglers to talk of Elwha nearshore

The Puget Sound Anglers – North Olympic Peninsula Chapter meet on Nov. 18, hosting guest speaker Anne Shaffer of the Coastal Watershed Institute.

Shaffer presents “An overview of salmon and forage fish use of the Elwha nearshore.”

The meeting is slated for 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave. For more information, call 460-0331.

SkyRidge hosts turkey scramble

SkyRidge Golf Course (7015 Old Olympic Highway) hosts the Post Turkey Day two-person scramble, set for Friday, Nov. 26.

Entry fee is $60 per team with an optional honey pot.

Fee includes gross and net division prizes, lunch following play, T-shirt and more.

P.A. hosts hoops tourney

The Port Angeles Recreation Department hosts the Holiday Hoops Tourney for boys and girls teams on Dec. 11-12.

The tourney has divisions for teams in grades 5-8.

There is a four-game guarantee. Entry fee is $235 per team.
