Bank employees help teach saving

To celebrate National Teach Children to Save Day, employees of First Federal will leave their branches to spend time in classrooms throughout the North Olympic Peninsula during April and May.

Christy Rookard and Lori O’Dell are scheduled at Sequim High School from 11:20 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Friday, April 26.

The classroom visits include games and activities about the concept of saving, how interest makes money grow, how to budget, how to determine wants and needs and how to find options that are environmentally friendly.

The program is part of the American Bankers Association Education Foundation’s Teach Children to Save Program.
