Food drive nets 1,300 items, continues

Strait Occupational & Hand Therapy’s Helping Hands 2011 Food Drive netted nearly 1,300 food items and $250 to support Port Angeles and Sequim food banks. Through August, the office will collect nonperishable items for the Friday Food Bank, which offers school children bags of food on Fridays for the weekend. Call 360-417-0703.

Munchkins to close

Munchkins Children’s Consignment, 166 E. Bell St., Sequim, is holding a close-out sale. Consignment items not sold or picked up by July 1 will be donated to Foster Family Closet. Call 683-7878.

Hospital guild store open Saturday

The Sequim Dungeness Hospital Guild’s Thrift Shop, 204 W. Bell St. in Sequim, will be open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 18. All white-tagged merchandise will be half price during the sale.
