Best Friend celebrating 20 years in Sequim

Best Friend Nutrition – The Natural Pet Market, celebrates two decades of operating in Sequim this month, highlighted by an event set for 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the store, 680 W. Washington St.

The 20th celebration includes prizes, local pastries, give-aways and samples, and everything in the store will be 20 percent off.

“I’m so blessed to be a part of this special place,” owner Cynthia Linden said. “I can’t imagine anything better, feeling good every day because we are doing good. I feel like every customer who comes in is part of a big family … my family. How lucky is that? I hope I’m here for another 20 years!”

Originally the brainchild of a passionate and health conscious couple, Best Friend Nutrition was a small shop at the outskirts of town, owners note. Word spread about their healthy approach for pets, they were able to move into the center of town and eventually expand the store. Linden then took over from the original owners.

“She has poured her heart into making the store a good member of our community, giving back in meaningful ways, and providing the healthiest nutrition and advice for our fur babies,” Best Friend staff said.
